La Maviglia, set across nearly 500 acres in the heart of Puglia, is envisioned as an expansive retreat where golf, hospitality, wellness, gastronomy, and the region’s natural heritage converge. Scheduled to open in 2026, the project is being developed with a focus on sustainable luxury, while preserving and celebrating the character of the surrounding landscape.
At the heart of the property is a restored 16th-century Masseria, a historic, fortified farmhouse. The Masseria is joined by a new luxury hotel, private villas, a dedicated Golfer’s Lodge, and an 18-hole championship golf course. Throughout the estate, the landscape remains central to the experience, with centuries-old olive trees, Primitivo vineyards, gardens, and historic features woven into the resort’s design.
Golf in the Heart of Puglia
Golf is central to the La Maviglia experience. The 18-hole, par-72 championship course is designed to move naturally through the Puglian landscape, incorporating olive groves, vineyards, traditional Trulli houses, and historic architecture along the way.
The course is intended to be as memorable for its setting as it is for the game itself. Rather than separating the sport from its surroundings, the course is designed to make the landscape part of the experience. Cultural, agricultural, and water features are incorporated throughout, with several holes envisioned as signature moments.
A two-sided driving range and extensive practice facilities will provide additional opportunities for guests to refine their game and further establish La Maviglia as a destination for serious golfers.
The golf experience extends beyond the course with a dedicated Golfer’s Lodge located within the Clubhouse and Driving Range complex.
An Elevated Accommodation Vision
La Maviglia will offer several distinct accommodation options, giving guests the choice between the services of a luxury hotel and the privacy of a private residence.
The 70-suite hotel will feature generously appointed accommodations, ranging from Junior Suites to three-bedroom Presidential Suites. Select suites will include private pools, while terraces, loggias, and private gardens extend the living spaces outdoors.
For a more secluded stay, 35 private villas will be set throughout the estate. Designed for two to six bedrooms, the villas will feature private pools, gardens, and spacious outdoor terraces, creating an atmosphere that feels more like a private Puglian residence than a traditional hotel room.
Golfers will have their own dedicated retreat in the 20-room Golfer’s Lodge, located within the Clubhouse and Driving Range complex.
Gardens and Gastronomy
La Maviglia’s vision extends well beyond golf. A 53,820 square-foot Wellness & Medical Spa will form a major part of the resort, with treatment rooms, relaxation areas, wet facilities, sports spaces, and indoor and outdoor pools.
Four restaurants are also planned across the property, ranging from fine dining to a poolside restaurant, along with dedicated breakfast and bar spaces. The culinary program is designed to complement the destination, drawing guests into the flavors and traditions of Southern Italy.
A large resort pool, landscaped gardens, outdoor sports facilities, and a private beach club will provide even more opportunities to spend time outdoors.
