Roule & Company Launches at Bergdorf Goodman

Roule & Company, husband and wife team Christopher Roule and Laurin Lucaire, have just launched a new jewelry line at Bergdorf Goodman,

that combines cutting edge technology with traditional craftsmanship in the form of earrings, bracelets and rings. Teardrops, hoops and spheres are melded into Christopher’s trademark wire form technique.

Roule & Company – The Wired Collection

The Roule & Company’s WIRED collection is inspired by the work and theories of architectural and engineering pioneers such as Buckminster Fuller, Gustave Eiffel and Antoni Gaudí. Drawing from universal principles and elegant geometries, Roule & Company use gold and gemstones the way architects and engineers use steel or glass, to create a new kind of fine jewelry. “Roule & Company approaches each piece as if we were designing a bridge or a concert hall, building parts that, when assembled as a whole, achieve the elusive balance of function, integrity, and beauty,” explains
Roule. “But since we work in mere fractions of a millimeter, much of this is perceived on an almost emotional level, perhaps felt more than seen.”

The majority of the WIRED collection is made up of designs from Roule & Company’s signature Shaker line that features loose colored gemstones suspended within golden cages – ranging from 5 to 175 carats of emeralds, rubies, sapphires, aquamarines or citrines.

Other lines appearing in the collection: Star Dust, features an arrays of brilliant white diamond pinpoints, evoking the stars in the night sky; Diffusion deconstructs the traditional pavé field setting; and Halo, features boldly contrasting metals and a graphic use of colored gemstones.

Available exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman, prices range from $1,500 to $75,000. Pictured: Shaker teardrop earrings.
