About the Royal Enclosure
While tickets are available online for two enclosures, the Royal Enclosure remains Ascot’s most exclusive space. Accessible only to Members and their invited guests, its origins date back to 1807 when a private viewing area was reserved for King George III’s circle during the inaugural Gold Cup. The enclosure evolved into its current form in the mid-19th century following a royal visit that led to the formal creation of a dedicated, enclosed viewing space in 1845. Since then, it has stood as the most prestigious and historically significant enclosure offering lively atmospheres, fine dining, and bespoke views of the racetrack.

Additional fundraising efforts, including Royal Ascot, generate over £55,000 annually to support military organizations, alongside ongoing contributions such as ticket donations and hosted events for veterans. The program also collaborates with local groups, notably the Ascot Round Table, helping raise approximately £70,000 through community events like the annual fireworks celebration, further reinforcing its commitment to meaningful regional impact.
