Bentley Motors has officially unveiled the name of its newest model line, the Bentley Torcal, marking the first step in what the British luxury automaker describes as a significant new chapter for the brand.
Joining the Continental GT, Flying Spur, and Bentayga, the Torcal becomes Bentley’s fourth core model line and continues the company’s tradition of naming its vehicles after extraordinary natural landmarks.
The name is inspired by El Torcal de Antequera in Andalusia, Spain, a breathtaking landscape known for its dramatic limestone formations, towering cliffs, and winding rock labyrinths sculpted over millions of years. According to Bentley, the location reflects both timeless beauty and continuous evolution, qualities the company says are embodied in its newest model.
The name also carries a deeper meaning. Derived from the Latin word torquere, meaning “to twist,” Torcal shares its linguistic roots with the modern word torque, reinforcing Bentley’s long-standing focus on effortless performance and refined power delivery.

“For 107 years Bentleys have been the most incredibly complete cars, offering effortless performance, outstanding comfort, exquisite British handcraftsmanship using the best natural materials, and a soundtrack with soul,” said Bentley Chairman and CEO Dr. Frank-Steffen Walliser. “Our new Torcal sets extraordinary benchmarks in every area that matters and may just be the most considered car in our history.”
While Bentley has yet to reveal technical specifications or styling details, the company says the Torcal will remain true to the brand’s heritage, combining handcrafted luxury with the performance and innovation expected from a modern Bentley.
The announcement follows Bentley’s recent naming tradition, which has produced models including the Bentayga, Bacalar, and Batur, all inspired by remarkable geographic locations around the world.
Bentley has confirmed that additional details about the Bentley Torcal will be released in the coming weeks, leading up to its official unveiling on September 23.
As anticipation builds, the Torcal is poised to become one of the luxury automotive world’s most closely watched debuts, signaling Bentley’s vision for the future while remaining unmistakably rooted in the craftsmanship and performance that have defined the marque for more than a century.
