The Los Angeles-based hypercar manufacturer Czinger Vehicles is rewriting the rules of performance with its revolutionary 21C. Built with technologies like AI and 3D printing, the street-legal hypercar produces more than 1,350 horsepower, and only 80 will ever be built.
Right before Monterey Car Week, the 21C went on a 1,000-mile trip across California and set five racetrack lap records in five days.
It raced at Thunderhill, Sonoma, Laguna Seca, and Willow Springs raceways, and The Thermal Club, beating the old lap times at every track. Its biggest record came at The Thermal Club, where it went 10.33 seconds faster than the previous best.
Along the way, the team made stops at California landmarks, like the Golden Gate Bridge, Blackbird Airpark, and even In-N-Out Burger.
At Laguna Seca, there was a setback when the car hit a tire wall. However, the crew rebuilt it overnight, and it came back to set another record the next day.
The whole adventure was filmed for a new documentary called “California Gold Rush,” which premiered during Monterey Car Week in Carmel-by-the-Sea. The film shows both the challenges and the victories of the journey.
With its futuristic design and record-breaking speed, the Czinger 21C is proving itself as one of the most exciting hypercars in the world.
