Ferrari has officially unveiled the 2026 livery of its 499P Hypercar, signaling the start of its campaign to defend both the Manufacturers’ and Drivers’ titles in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). After a landmark 2025 season that returned global endurance racing glory to Maranello, Ferrari now enters 2026 as the reigning benchmark in the Hypercar class.
The updated Ferrari 499P was presented at the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena in front of executives, drivers, and tifosi. Fielded by Ferrari – AF Corse, the number 50 and number 51 entries will once again compete across the eight-round FIA WEC calendar, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
A Refined Livery with Championship Distinction
For 2026, the Ferrari 499P retains its unmistakable Rosso Scuderia identity, now finished in a high-gloss treatment that mirrors Ferrari’s current Formula 1 challenger. Signature Giallo Modena accents emphasize the car’s aerodynamic lines and cockpit architecture, reinforcing the visual link between Ferrari’s racing heritage and its modern Hypercar program.
Championship laurels earned during the 2025 season are integrated into the livery, underscoring Ferrari’s return to endurance racing dominance after more than five decades. The design continues to pay homage to the legendary 312 P, connecting Ferrari’s historic endurance legacy to its contemporary FIA WEC success.
Proven Lineups, Focused Ambitions
The number 50 Ferrari 499P will be driven by Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen. The number 51 car returns with reigning Drivers’ World Champions Alessandro Pier Guidi, James Calado, and Antonio Giovinazzi.
While the 2026 499P introduces no major technical overhauls, Ferrari has focused on aerodynamic refinements and performance optimization within updated regulatory parameters. The hybrid powertrain, combining a twin-turbo V6 internal combustion engine with a front-axle Energy Recovery System (ERS), remains a defining feature of the car. Notably, the V6 architecture draws from Ferrari’s road car engine family, highlighting the brand’s technology transfer between motorsport and production vehicles.
The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship Calendar
The 2026 FIA WEC season begins in Qatar at Lusail, followed by rounds at Imola, Spa-Francorchamps, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, São Paulo, Circuit of the Americas, Fuji Speedway, and Bahrain. With double points awarded at Le Mans, consistency across the calendar will be critical in the championship battle.

After ending a 53-year wait for a Manufacturers’ title and capturing the Drivers’ crown in the Hypercar era, Ferrari approaches the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship with measured confidence. As competition intensifies across the grid, the Prancing Horse aims not only to defend its titles, but to reinforce its leadership at the pinnacle of global endurance racing.
