A New Court Aesthetic: Jannik Sinner for Gucci

Gucci’s latest campaign with Jannik Sinner continues the brand’s relationship with the world of tennis. The House has blended sport, travel, and Italian style for decades, beginning with a relationship that goes back more than fifty years. Gucci created its first tennis-inspired pieces in the 1970s and continues to redefine tennis culture by viewing it not only as sport, but a space in which elegance, discipline, and individuality coexist.

Titled “The Original Sinner,” the partnership celebrates more than Sinner’s athletic renown, and highlights the player’s personal sense of style. Shot through the reportage-style lens of photographer Riccardo Raspa, the campaign follows Sinner moving between courts and tournaments, carrying Gucci’s instantly recognizable duffle bag, a piece closely tied to his image.

The record-breaking champion has been part of Gucci’s story for over four years, and he continues to shape its expression with a style that feels effortless, simple, and refined.

Sinner’s role feels particularly natural within this context. His focused energy and simple taste inspire a new generation of athletes who embody the space between performance and personal expression.

The campaign reflects a broader shift in sport and lifestyle, where tennis has become an increasingly influential platform for luxury collaborations. As fashion brands deepen their involvement in tennis, Gucci’s partnership with Sinner arrives at the center of a wider cultural shift. The sport’s blend of heritage, discipline, and exclusivity has made it increasingly attractive to brands looking to connect performance with lifestyle. In that landscape, Gucci and Sinner present a modern vision of tennis, one shaped as much by personal style as athletic achievement.
