Even our pet dog was pampered with hotel supplied beds and treats. The spacious and well-appointed accommodation ensures a comfortable and relaxing stay for every guest.

In the Summer guests can enjoy championship golf on a world-renowned course (Jetset vows to add golf coverage in 2024 of this iconic course) If golf not your game, tennis courts, and mountain biking trails are in abundance just outside the hotel.

Bike rentals are available through the concierge. Fairmont also offers guided tours and adventure packages tailored to different interests around the area. We took one and were beyond impressed by the beauty and abundance of nature and wildlife during our one hour hike. The service at Fairmont Chateau Whistler was incredible – the staff truly exhibit attentiveness and professionalism to our every need. The staff is known for being friendly, accommodating, and dedicated to ensuring that every guest has a memorable experience.

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Our next stop on the Jetset Rocky Mountain tour was Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, situated in Jasper National Park, two kilometers outside Jasper Alberta, and 3.5 hours from Edmonton International Airport this iconic luxury resort is known for its picturesque setting, rich history, and exceptional amenities. The resort, spread across 700 acres of pristine wilderness, offers a blend of rustic charm and modern comfort, making it a sought-after destination for discerning travelers.

This 18-hole course is renowned for its challenging layout and stunning scenery, uniquely shaped bunkers, surrounded by panoramic views of the Rockies, lush fairways, and pristine lakes.
Golf enthusiasts will appreciate the meticulously maintained greens and the opportunity to play in such a unique and beautiful setting. This Jetset writer spent more time awing the incredible views and gathering photos of the variety of wildlife including an uninterested Black Bear resulting in my first bear par .
The resort offers guided horseback riding tours, allowing guests to explore the scenic trails of Jasper National Park. Riders of all skill levels can enjoy the tranquility of the wilderness while experiencing the park’s diverse flora and fauna up close. No trip to JPL would be complete without taking advantage of the lodge’s location on the shores of Lac Beauvert, offering canoeing and kayaking for JPL guests.

For our family, canoeing on Lake Louise was a highlight. As hotel guests, we were allowed to bypass the lines and enter the VIP line area and onto the lake. The crystal-clear waters and stunning mountain scenery provide a picturesque and serene setting for a paddle.
The resort offers canoe rentals and guided canoe tours, making it easy for guests to enjoy this unique activity.
Service at Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise was exceptional. The staff seemed dedicated to providing a personalized and memorable experience for everyone. We even had a pet sitter come to our room and walk our dog for a tour of the lake!

Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, often referred to as the “Castle in the Rockies,” is an iconic luxury resort located in Banff National Park, Alberta. From our room we could see Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course, designed by the legendary Stanley Thompson. One of North America’s top golf courses, it offers an 18-hole championship layout that winds through the stunning mountain landscape.

 

Golfers and hotel guests can enjoy panoramic views of the Canadian Rockies, lush fairways, and the picturesque Bow River as they play this challenging and beautifully maintained course.

 

Banff National Park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including elk, deer, bears, and various bird species. Guests at the hotel often have opportunities to observe these animals in their natural habitat. We took a highly recommended hotel offered guided wildlife tour which provided us with a chance to see elk, deer, moose – and yes, even a bear all while enjoying wine and cheese with our knowledgeable guide.

 

The hotel features a vast array of dining options, ranging from fine dining at the 1888 Chop House to casual fare at the Rundle Lounge. Each restaurant offers a unique culinary experience, emphasizing fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

 

However, a must, especially on a sunny day is having lunch on the Rundle Bar Patio which offers stunning views of the Bow Valley and surrounding mountains. Recently awarded Canada’s Best Patio, it’s an ideal spot for enjoying a meal, a drink, or simply relaxing while taking in the spectacular natural beauty of the Bow Valley.
If all the touring, golfing and eating has you tired, escape to the award-winning Fairmont Spa Banff Springs, which offers a range of treatments designed to rejuvenate and relax.. The spa features mineral pools, steam rooms, and a range of therapies inspired by the natural surroundings.
