Couture and cinema collide at star-studded, 2014 Fashion Film Awards, presented by Cinemoi in association with Style Fashion Week.
Global film and lifestyle channel Cinémoi North America, in association with STYLE Fashion Week, presented the 1st Annual International Fashion Film Awards (IFFA) on Sunday, July 27th at the legendary Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.
The awards, hosted by the entertaining duo of American Idol winner, Grammy-nominated Jordin Sparks and UK chat show host Jonathan Ross, marked the first time filmmaking and fashion design were honored, showcasing all the talent, glamour and magic of both worlds.
The IFFA Icon Award was presented to Joan and Melissa Rivers for their significant role in redefining the way fashion is viewed on television with “E!’s LIVE from The Red Carpet” franchise to the popular weekly recap show “Fashion Police.” Costume designer Gigi Lepage was also honored for her extraordinary creative work in the film “Grace of Monaco,” starring Nicole Kidman, as well as many Cartier and Dior commercials.The spectacular fashions of Cirque du Soleil were highlighted in an avant-garde runway presentation of the best costumes from the famous show producer’s eight resident shows in Las Vegas.
The evening’s celebrity presenters, donned in their red carpet best, included Kristin Cavallari, Tia Mowry-Hardrict, Lance Bass, Jeannie Mai, Bai Ling, Andrew Kegan, Tyson Beckford and Radha Mitchell.
To cap off the event, “Dancing with the Stars’” Mark Ballas and his eight member band rocked the house with the live world premiere of his new single “Miss Incredible.”
The IFFA telecast will air on August 3, 2014 on Cinémoi (Verizon Channel 236) and will be syndicated on Comcast. Cinémoi founder Daphna E. Ziman also noted the show will be shown in over 100 countries worldwide.
