Land Rover Classic has unveiled a striking new expression of personalization with Spectral Green, a color-changing finish created for a custom family of Classic Defender V8 models. Commissioned by a single client, the collection showcases the possibilities of the brand’s Works Bespoke service while introducing the new 110 Double Cab Pick-Up body style to the Classic Defender V8 family.
The exclusive quartet includes the 90 Station Wagon, 90 Soft Top, 110 Station Wagon, and newly released 110 Double Cab Pick-Up. Finished in Spectral Green, each vehicle transforms between shades of green, purple, and gold depending on the angle of view and lighting conditions, creating a dynamic appearance unlike any traditional paint finish.
The tailored exterior extends beyond the bodywork, with Spectral Green detailing applied to the diamond-turned Sawtooth alloy wheels, exterior badging, and central interior fascia panels. Each Defender spent nearly 400 hours in Land Rover Classic’s in-house paint facility, from preparation and color matching through to the final polish.
Complementing the exterior is an Icy White roof and expedition cage, “Defender” lettering, and hand-painted white coachlines. Inside, the cabin features Land Rover’s Bridge of Weir Vanilla leather upholstery contrasted with green stitching, creating an interior that mirrors the vehicle’s distinctive exterior character. Additional enhancements include a newly developed integrated touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Through Works Bespoke, Land Rover Classic continues to offer clients the opportunity to create highly personalized vehicles inspired by individual stories, landscapes, and collections. The Spectral Green Classic Defender V8 represents a new chapter in the marque’s tradition of craftsmanship, customization, and timeless design.
