There’s only one thought that comes to mind when the name of British-American actress Jane Seymour is mentioned in conversation – utter gracefulness. The world renowned celebrity has a long list of awards and accomplishments to her name, including playing the unforgettable Bond girl, Solitaire in the 1973 film Live and Let Die. Seymour’s illustrious acting career would ultimately make her a two-time Golden Globe receiver, Emmy winner, and of course, immortalized A-List celeb with her very own star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
Yet, all that success was just not enough to appease the drive within the proclaimed actress, producer, painter, businesswoman and philanthropist. In addition to being recognized as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), Seymour also ventured into the jewelry market with her own Open Hearts collection in the United States.
Perhaps, however, nothing could be quite as fitting for a woman of such exquisite taste as a unique one-of-a-kind fancy color diamond. And thus, The Jane Seymour was created, a unique 2.08 carat cushion-cut fancy vivid blue diamond ring, set in platinum and plated in rose-gold.
A three-dimensional object only has the magnitudes of space (length, breadth, and depth). The Jane Seymour is an object of power, a four-dimensional creation with the precious aura that spells the pinnacle of perfection. It alludes to the ambassadors who have traveled the globe in search of finesse and it allows you to venture into the remarkable expression that cannot be put into words.
It reflects the power celebrity who has obtained global success and respect as one of Hollywood’s true leading ladies. With it, you will dwell into the untamed desires of the mind and soul to expand all perceptions into an atmosphere of true significance. A deep blue color exudes infinite fondness through a hypnotic magnetism, which The Jane Seymour embodies to the highest degree.
This impossibly rare diamond has been meticulously selected to illustrate the pride of eternity over matter, emotion and knowledge. Blue is the color of all-inclusiveness. You will see in our existence, the color blue, like the ocean or sky, implies a vastness beyond your perception.
In its rough state, the blue diamond was hardly symmetrical in structure, which meant that with one miscalculation or slip, its color would have disappeared entirely. It retains techniques passed down from generations. The world’s finest artisans spent almost a year deliberating, planning and painstakingly cutting the rough into a magnificent cushion-cut 2.08 carat diamond of perfect proportions. The creation of the masterpiece required engaging World of Diamond Group’s top craftsmen to shape the contour of the ring, detail the flower motifs and configure the symmetry of the ring. This onerous task was only possible in Geneva through the diamond conglomerate’s design houses, with three masters working consecutively for over two weeks in rotational shifts. The Jane Seymour is signed “W.O.D. Genève” and hallmarked “PT950”.
The exceptional 2.08 carat fancy vivid blue, cushion-cut diamond deserved only the rarest of precious metals. Platinum, among the most enduring metals in the world, was the natural choice for The Jane Seymour. The choice of plating was rose-gold as it provides a combination of class and elegance, since most find white gold being “too contemporary” and yellow gold being “too classic”. Thus, a combination of matte and gloss plating was utilized in the creation. In the end, the rose-gold complements the blue diamond with a refreshing and unexpected guise.
The design typifies a floral motif reminiscent of Seymour’s graceful and elegant personality. Despite her obvious accomplishments, the celebrity maintains a humble demeanor which makes her choice of beautiful flora, an ideal one. These flowers, or Erodium malacoides, are naturally purple to magenta in color and look utterly magnificent in luxurious rose-gold plating.
Flaunting an intellectual air underneath its outward simplicity, the glittering diamond ring emulates a constellation worthy enough to grace the red carpet of the Oscars, which even the panoramic vista of Monaco can’t trump. This enigmatic treasure draws on a shared passion and affinity for Jane Seymour, for only she can replicate the magical enchantment. It promises copious access to the obscure yet beautiful mysteries of nature.
The Jane Seymour is the only celebrity ring in the world that is brand new, since almost all creations that pass through Sotheby’s or Christie’s are pre-owned. It represents the A-lister who is overflowing with energy and preparing for her next role in the film and theater industry, and it is the first and only jewelry piece in the world named after Seymour herself. The fact that World of Diamonds Group is a diamond behemoth involved in mining, polishing and the distribution of diamonds and diamond jewelry, makes it extremely unlikely that the Group ever has something available for the end consumer. The Jane Seymour is certainly among one the prized exceptions, since the corporation has contracts with high jewelry houses.
This ring can fetch several million dollars because of its invaluable celebrity recognition alone and what’s most interesting is not only that the eventual buyer be able to afford it, but the connoisseur must also fulfill certain criteria established at the discretion of the Group’s Chairman. World of Diamonds didn’t want the ring to pass through an auction house since the Group would be able to be selective about the eventual buyer – this is a work of art and has to be appreciated by a true connoisseur and is not meant to be just another jewelry piece.
The Creator: World of Diamonds Group
Having launched and sold the world’s most expensive perfume collection in Singapore in 2015, the WOD Group has always been behind some of the finest diamonds and jewelry pieces. Through joint ventures with Maisons in Europe and the Americas, the Russian conglomerate is almost fully integrated in diamond mining, polishing, high jewelry creation and distribution to leading houses of the world. As one of the largest privately held diamond mining corporations, the WORLD OF DIAMONDS has directly catered to billionaires and members of royal descent.
The invitation to behold this creation would rather you not compare The Jane Seymour to anything else in the high jewelry world. It is a celebratory treat, more comparable to a mega-yacht or a ticket to the moon. – Karan Tilani, Director, World of Diamonds Group
Blue diamonds of this saturation have been known to draw more than $2,000,000 USD at Sotheby’s and Christie’s in the past, however, this ring is priceless after accounting for its celebrity recognition. The Jane Seymour was presented to Jane during a lavish dinner party at CÉ LA VI Singapore on April 25th where the ring complemented Seymour’s blue dress and her Open Hearts jewelry collection, which she wore proudly. The masterpiece then retreated to a vault as part of World of Diamonds’ private collection after the dinner.
Following this, The Jane Seymour was exclusively displayed at The Vortex, the glamorous “Art For Charity” red carpet gala evening on April 29th at the Raffles Singapore attended by Jane Seymour & the President, on May 3rd at the Royal Albatross Ship, on May 6th at Angelina, Capitol Piazza during an exclusive lunch, and on May 10th at 1-Altitude, the world’s highest al-fresco bar. Concluding the festivities, World of Diamonds hosted a champagne & cocktail party on May 18th at CÉ LA VI Singapore.
Just window shopping? Too bad. The Jane Seymour is available for private viewing by invitation only.
